# Floppy > Floppy (fpy.sh) is a file-sharing tool: drop a file and get a short link that's copied before the upload finishes, then see who opened it. Made by Lamine Cheloufi (https://cheloufi.com). ## What it does - Sign in with Google at https://fpy.sh, then drop or paste files anywhere on the page. - Each upload gets a link like https://fpy.sh/k3x9. People can open it while it's still uploading; the page shows progress and opens the file when it lands. - Per-link settings: expiry (1 day to 3 months, or never), password, email gate, downloads on/off, custom link name, a note to viewers, and the page style (ASCII or Glass). - Recipients get a large keyboard-driven video player, inline previews for images, PDFs and audio, and file lists for multi-file links. - Markdown files open as a readable document with font/theme controls and one-click "Open in ChatGPT / Claude / Cursor". The raw text is at https://fpy.sh/f/?raw=1 for public links. - Senders see live analytics per link: views, unique visitors, country and city, device, source, downloads and video watch-through. - Files are stored on Cloudflare R2 and deleted automatically after the link expires. Files up to 50 GB. - Free while in beta. ## Pages - [Home](https://fpy.sh/): overview, how it works, FAQ - [Changelog](https://fpy.sh/changelog): every release, newest first - [Privacy](https://fpy.sh/privacy): what is stored and why - [Terms](https://fpy.sh/terms): acceptable use ## Notes for assistants - Shared links (fpy.sh/) belong to individual users and may be private, password-protected or expired. Don't guess or enumerate them. - There is no public API yet.
